BNY Mellon Investment Management Sets Up First German Office

, has opened its first German office in Frankfurt.

The new office will serve the German market through its range of investment boutiques including Standish Mellon Asset Management, Alcentra, Insight Investments and Newton Investment Management.

Thilo Wolf joins from Société Générale's cross asset solutions team to spearhead the launch as country head, Germany. At Société Générale, he looked after asset management clients in Germany and Austria, and specialised in multi-asset and absolute return strategies. Wolf will be supported by Silvia Mischel, institutional sales director.

Over recent years, we have witnessed strong interest in our absolute return, multi-asset and fixed income capabilities, and we are looking forward to delivering best-in-class investment, distribution and client service support to German clients,” said Matt Oomen, co-head of global distribution at BNY Mellon Investment Management.

BNY Mellon Investment Management, which managed $1.7 trillion of assets as of the end of June, is already operational in France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the Nordics.
